These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Daeyla LLC (“Daeyla,” “we,” “us”) and govern your use of the PrivateLingo mobile app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using PrivateLingo, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use PrivateLingo (or older where your local law requires). By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know at info@privatelingo.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
PrivateLingo lets you connect with a small number of people and, as you chat, build a shared invented “language” of custom words. It also supports messaging, media (photos, videos, voice notes, and files), reactions, and 1:1 audio and video calls. Features may change over time.
You keep ownership of the content you create and send (“Your Content”). To operate the Service, you grant Daeyla a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service, for example, to translate your messages into your invented language, sync that language across your devices, and deliver your messages and calls to the people you’ve chosen. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for content already shared with others and limited backup copies as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it.

You can block users and report messages or people in the app. We may review reports and, at our discretion, remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe pose a risk to others. We may also take action to comply with the law.
PrivateLingo runs on third-party infrastructure (including Google Firebase and Expo) and is distributed through app stores (such as Google Play and the Apple App Store). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that messages or calls will always be delivered, or that the invented language will behave in any particular way.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Daeyla LLC and its members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or USD $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Daeyla LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content license limits, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that state, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
